Position Overview

A rapidly expanding, multi-state ABA company is seeking a VP of Finance & Strategy to serve as a strategic partner to ownership and lead financial planning, growth strategy, and long-term profitability.

This role is designed for a seasoned finance leader who can operate at an executive level while still maintaining strong oversight of financial operations. While this role is not day-to-day bookkeeping focused, the CFO must deeply understand the numbers to ensure financial rigor and clarity.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & Leadership

• Serve as the primary financial advisor to ownership

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning

• Drive profitability analysis across locations and service lines

• Oversee FP&A, dashboards, and executive reporting

Growth & Expansion Support

• Evaluate state expansion and market entry opportunities

• Model ROI, sustainability, and capital requirements

• Support acquisition, investment, and scaling decisions

• Guide pricing, staffing, and margin optimization strategies

Oversight & Accountability

• Oversee Controller and finance team

• Ensure strong internal controls and financial discipline

• Hold leaders, vendors, and processes accountable

• Translate financial data into actionable business insight

Qualifications & Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)

• Proven senior finance leadership experience

• Strong FP&A, budgeting, and strategic modeling background

• Experience partnering directly with ownership or executive teams

• Confidence making and standing behind financial decisions

• Track record of scaling organizations

Nice to Have

• Healthcare, ABA, or services-based business experience

• Multi-state or multi-location operational exposure

• Experience building finance teams and infrastructure
