Legal Secretary for Litigation Practice
As the Legal Secretary for the litigation practice at this prestigious international law firm, you will provide direct, high-level administrative and legal support to a group of litigation attorneys. Working alongside a team of dedicated professionals, you’ll manage case documents, coordinate complex litigation calendars, and play a vital role in ensuring efficient day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys across multiple litigation matters by managing filings, deadlines, and document workflows.
- Draft, format, and proofread correspondence and legal documents with a sharp eye for accuracy.
- Coordinate state and federal court filings, both electronic and physical.
- Assist with trial preparation, including deposition logistics, binders, and exhibits.
- Track time, billing details, and client-specific requirements to support invoice preparation.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files using legal document management systems.
- Act as a key point of contact for attorneys and clients, demonstrating professionalism and discretion.
- Provide backup and overflow assistance to other assistants in a shared support model.

What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced in litigation. You have supported several litigation attorneys directly and understand the adaptability and strict deadlines when working in a law firm.
- Self-sufficient. You are proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Concise. You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort interacting across departments.
- Legal-minded. You have high attention to detail, particularly in document formatting, filings, and client billing.
- Technologically proficient. You are strong navigating across Microsoft Office and legal systems.
