Senior Technician (Maintenance-Electrical)
As a Senior Technician (Electrical) , you will be responsible for conducting a variety of maintenance activities (e.g., PMâs breakdowns, repairs, rebuilding, etc.) to optimize plant equipment and support the production of quality chemical intermediates, energies and finished products to a pre determined operations plan. Performs specialized predictive and preventive maintenance equipment inspections; and troubleshoots, plans and installs and / or modifies plant equipment and related systems in accordance with Key Performance Measure, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety/regulatory requirements, and divisional goals.
ÂKey Responsibilities:
- Fill out and review Permit Cliqs (work permits) in conjunction with operation personnel prior to starting a job.
- Ensure all lockout - tagout procedures are followed
- Locate equipment problem and discuss potential causes.
- Recommend practical solutions of technical problems.
- Diagnose problems and repair VFDâs, PLCâs, motors with associated controls, protective devices, breakers, fuses, overloads, relays, conduit & cable, transmitter calibration controllers, switches and metrology.
- Trouble shoot, assess, inspect, adjust, and make repairs as needed to facility flow, pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation. It includes transmitter flow devices, level controls, temperature measurement.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, which include but are not limited to, routine calibration, thermography, and ultrasonic testing
- Other duties assigned by Freeport leadership.

 You Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years maintenance-related experience required.
- Must be available to work weekends, overtime (including coverage and standby), and holidays as required. Must be able to function/cross train in primary craft.
- Knowledge and skill experience to diagnose problems and repair VFDâs, PLCâs, 480V 3 phase motors with associated controls, knowledge of protective devices, breakers, fuses, overloads, relays, conduit & cable, transmitter calibration controllers, switches, MCC buckets and metrology.\
