Project Coordinator (Telecom Manufacturing)

We are looking for a Project Coordinator from a manufacturing background to work for our international client in their New Jersey office/manufacturing plant.

Project Coordinator – Manufacturing (On-Site | Newark, NJ)

We are seeking a highly organized, customer-facing Project Coordinator to manage customer-driven manufacturing projects from order entry through delivery. This full-time, on-site role close to Newark, NJ and partners closely with engineering, production, and customer service to ensure projects are executed accurately, on time, and to customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, gathering and validating all project requirements

• Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using SAP and Basecamp

• Issue project work statements and shop work orders; manage shipping and order documentation

• Lead cross-functional coordination with engineering, production, quality, and manufacturing teams

• Participate in engineering and production meetings to align priorities, capacity, and delivery timelines

• Review construction drawings and support projects requiring knowledge of manufacturing and construction processes

• Track open purchase orders, change orders, and production constraints; escalate risks as needed

• Organize customer calls to maintain alignment, transparency, and satisfaction

• Support sales and leadership with reporting, order status updates, and identification of upsell opportunities

• Occasional travel to customer sites or job locations as required

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Working knowledge of SAP ERP, Basecamp, Excel (Smartsheet a plus)

• Ability to read and understand construction or technical drawings

• Strong communication, organization, and customer-management skills

• Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, production-driven setting
