Job Overview:

Performs basic/advanced therapeutic procedures as outlined under the scope of respiratory patient care service within the section of the policy procedure manual to inpatients and outpatients. Transcribes and implements physician orders. Uses basic oxygen, advanced assessment skills, and patient information to maintain awareness of patient care needs.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Associates of Applied Science
• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program, RRT
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Preferred:

• ACLS
• Bachelor's of Science
• Experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC
• Licensed by New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS Certification Required (American Heart Association)

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day shift
• Per Diem

Essential Functions :

• Intubations
• Aline insertion
• Oxygen therapy
• Bronchodilator therapy
• Arterial blood gas procedure
• Mechanical ventilation management
• Noninvasive mechanical ventilation management
