NOW HIRING – Forklift Operator

Location: Wayne,NJ
Industry: Logistics / Warehouse

Partners Personnel is currently hiring for a Forklift Operator to join a fast-paced logistics warehouse in Wayne, NJ.

Schedule:

Friday to Sunday 4:30PM to 4:30AM

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $22.25 per hour

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Load and unload shipments and deliveries of coils, strut, pallets, etc.
• Confirm accuracy and quality of all loads being shipped or received.
• Improve inventory accuracy.
• Prepare and stage shipments as needed (re-bundling, wrapping, labeling, etc.).
• Ensure labels and documentation are accurate for incoming and outgoing loads.
• Prepare & stage shipments as needed (re-bundling, plastic wrap, labeling, etc.).
• Move materials to mill and machines.
• Weigh, mark and store coils properly.
• Maintain integrity of equipment and report issues to supervisor or maintenance immediately.
• Perform routine maintenance and/or assist maintenance as needed, along with keeping accurate forklift maintenance records.
• Support and provide input for continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of area according to 5S principles to provide a safe and effective working space.
• Support with on-the-job training as needed.
• Support in all areas as needed and requested by supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years forklift experience (forklift certification required).
• Experience loading & unloading materials 10’- 20’ long.
• Knowledge of LTLs and Flatbeds.
• Commitment to safety and to adhere to all safety rules.
• Demonstrates ability to work in team, treat colleagues with respect and has a high level of accountability / punctuality.
• Willingness to be cross-trained and rotate through all business functions as required by business needs.
• Proven record of strong attendance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good data entry skills
• Good computer skills.
• Bilingual is a plus
