We are looking for skilled operators with experience in hydraulic rock drills, heavy equipment operation, and construction site safety to join our growing team. Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain hydraulic rock drills and other drilling equipment for rock excavation.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance on all equipment, including hoses, fluid levels, and general machine condition.
• Drill blast holes to the correct depth, layout, and pattern as instructed by the Project Manager .
• Assist in all manual labor aspects of the drilling process as required.
• Check work areas for potential hazards, including overhead electrical wires, underground utilities, and unstable terrain.
• Maintain accurate records of drill patterns, logs, and reports and submit them in a timely manner.
• Ensure all drill supplies, tools, and accessories are organized and maintained.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures , including attending safety meetings and completing daily safety checklists.
• Communicate any mechanical issues or terrain challenges with the Project Manager .
• Accurately complete and submit daily timesheets and required documentation .
• Work as part of a blasting and drilling crew , ensuring efficient operations on-site.

Qualifications:

• Experience operating hydraulic rock drills in a construction drilling and blasting environment.
• Strong understanding of construction equipment operation and maintenance .
• Ability to operate efficiently and productively with limited supervision.
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and strong work ethic .
• Physically capable of handling demanding construction work , including heavy lifting and working long hours in varying weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of drill patterns, layouts, and terminology .
