RMA of NJ is looking for a temporary Sonographer to float between our Freehold and Eatontown offices. Working hours will be mornings from 6am-10am.

Job Purpose: The Sonographer is responsible for performing sonography appropriately and accurately to assist physician visualization and interpretation during gynecological procedures.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Collaborates with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.
• Establishes personal rapport with patients.
• Provides explanations of procedures.

• Performs detailed examinations of female reproductive systems
• Tracks fetal growth and development
• Identifies abnormalities
• Schedules and coordinates ultrasound examinations
• Prepares and maintains ultrasound records
• Calibrates and maintains necessary equipment and instruments
• May act as supervisor/team lead

Supervisor Responsibilities: N/A

Academic Training:

• Completion of formal Ultrasound training and certification
• A.R.D.M.S. certification with OB/GYN specialization preferred
  • Studies level: Certification
  • Studies area: Ultrasound
• Current BLS Certification - required
  • Studies level: Certification
  • Studies area: BLS

Languages: N/A

Position Requirements/Experience:

• Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility – preferred
• 2- 4 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist – required

Technical Skills:

• Ability to effectively operate all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job.

• Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
