Job Description

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under skilled journeymen to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial environments. This temp-to-direct position offers hands-on experience with large-scale electrical systems and the potential for a permanent role. Expect demanding hours in a fast-paced setting with significant overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in installing industrial electrical systems, including conduit, wiring, motor controls, and instrumentation.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical equipment, such as PLCs, VFDs, and industrial lighting.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and industrial safety standards.
• Operate hand and power tools, including pipe benders and multimeters, safely.
• Handle materials and maintain organized, safe work areas on industrial sites.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program (preferred).
• Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems and components.
• Ability to work 60-70 hours per week, including weekends as needed.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and eagerness to learn industrial electrical trade.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in industrial environments (e.g., heights, confined spaces).
