Qualifications:

• ADN required; BSN preferred
• New Jersey Registered Nurse License and/or approved compact license required
• Valid New Jersey Registered Driver's License required
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Behavioral Health RN preferred

Job Description : The Department of Psychiatry Residential Services is currently seeking qualified candidates. Program Nurse will work with adult consumers residing in a 15-bed community-based group home who suffer from Severe and Persistent Mental Illness. The Program Nurse is responsible for providing ongoing evaluation, assessment, implementation and re-evaluation of individualized nursing plans and mental health treatment plans. They will train and educate consumers regarding medical and mental health needs through individual and group activities. Candidates should be innovative and creative and willing to expand 'outside the box' to develop successful therapeutic interventions for the consumers. Due to the resistant nature of the consumers, candidates will need to be patient and possess strong motivational skills. Our department is a work environment focused on growth for both the consumers and staff.
