Accounts Payable Specialist

Description Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Somerset, New Jersey. This contract position is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in accounting processes, particularly in accounts payable. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage financial transactions effectively within a collaborative team environment. Accounts Payable Responsibilities: - Process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation. - Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner. - Manage accounts payable transactions, including coding invoices and verifying payment details. - Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and conduct check runs as needed. - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve discrepancies. - Utilize accounting software for efficient record-keeping and reporting. - Support basic accounts receivable functions when required. - Maintain compliance with financial policies and procedures. - Communicate with vendors to address payment-related inquiries. Requirements A/P Requirements - Experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment handling. - Proficiency in using basic Excel functions for data management. - Ability to manage ACH transactions and perform check runs. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
