Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager will oversee all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities at the Vineland manufacturing facility. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime and plant reliability for bus duct and switchgear production. An engineering degree is preferred; however, candidates with a strong engineering mindset and extensive plant maintenance experience will be seriously considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a preventive maintenance (PM) program for all production machinery, electrical systems, HVAC, and facility infrastructure

• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians; schedule coverage to minimize production disruptions

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner

• Maintain parts inventory and manage relationships with OEM equipment vendors and service contractors

• Track maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance rate) and report to Plant Manager

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and DATAONE ELECTRIC safety standards

• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment as the plant scales

• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred

• Candidates without a degree but with 10+ years of progressive plant maintenance experience and a demonstrated 'engineering mindset' will be considered

• 5+ years of maintenance supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong working knowledge of PLCs, electrical systems, and automated manufacturing equipment

• Familiarity with CMMS software (e.g., Maximo, MP2, or similar)

• Experience in electrical or heavy industrial manufacturing a plus

• Local candidates preferred (Vineland, NJ area)
