Certified Technology Teacher (K–8 / K–12)

Location: Plainfield, NJ 07060 (Nearby cities include Scotch Plains NJ 07076, South Plainfield NJ 07080, Westfield NJ 07090, Edison NJ 08817 and 08837, and Metuchen NJ 08840, offering convenient access for commuting candidates.)

Compensation: $50 to $55 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time
Start Date: 2025–2026 School Year

• Deliver engaging lessons that integrate STEM principles, computer literacy, and digital citizenship for grades K–8 (or K–12).

• Create and implement curriculum plans that align with state standards and prepare students for technology-driven learning and online assessments.

• Foster a classroom environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

• Provide enrichment opportunities for students performing at or above grade level.

• Collaborate with colleagues to incorporate educational technology tools across subject areas.

• Support and train teachers on how to effectively integrate technology into instruction.

• Stay current with educational technology trends and apply innovative tools to enhance student engagement.

• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide initiatives.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the school leadership team.

Required:

• Valid New Jersey Standard Teacher Certificate or CE/CEAS/Limited CE in Technology Education or related field

• Strong understanding of instructional technology and digital learning resources for K–8 or K–12 students

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to support and guide teachers in classroom technology integration

• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and fostering a growth-oriented learning environment

• Successful criminal background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency

Preferred:

• Prior experience teaching in a charter or public school setting

• Experience developing technology-based instructional content or enrichment programs
