Senior Inspector

STV is seeking a Senior Inspector to support a transit infrastructure project in the region. This role will provide on-site construction inspection quality assurance oversight and field documentation to ensure work is completed safely accurately and in accordance with project requirements specifications and industry standards. The position will be based out of our Lawrenceville NJ office with field visits as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection of construction and installation activities.
• Verify contractor performance for compliance with approved plans drawings technical documents and applicable codes.
• Review and monitor construction drawings specification books and electrical documentation.
• Track document and report on field work progress inspection findings and emerging risks.
• Coordinate with project managers contractors and field staff to resolve issues and maintain timely progress.
• Support site safety awareness and adherence to OSHA and project safety standards.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on field conditions and inspection outcomes.
• Assist in verifying quantities and supporting invoicing and change documentation as needed.
• Support project credentialing or security requirements as applicable.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in construction inspection or technical oversight on mechanical electrical industrial or transportation-related projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings electrical schematics and specification documents.
• Strong field knowledge of construction methods installations and troubleshooting practices.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with contractors engineers and project stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with public agencies transportation authorities or infrastructure owners.
• Familiarity with construction safety standards occupational training and hazardous awareness protocols.
• Ability to obtain any project-required credentials within designated timeframes.
