General Description: The QA Production Engineer/Technician is the primary representative for the Richards Quality Management System on the production floor. This position is the critical link between Engineering and Production.
Reports to: QE Manager
Responsibilities:
- Complete daily process and safety reviews of the production floor for both production shifts.
- Provide a constant presence on the shop floor as a direct communication channel between production and engineering.
- Support production floor quality initiatives focusing on process consistency and scrap reduction.
- Conduct First Article inspections and review with Engineering.
- Evaluate process flow to suggest improvements and changes to engineering.
- Support implementation for continuous improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
- Demonstrate the ability to determine root cause and provide technical feedback to engineering.
Minimum Educational Qualifications (If Applicable):
- Technical/Engineering degree or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum Previous Experience (If Applicable):
- Not necessary
Minimum Additional Training (If Applicable):
- Company’s Quality Management System
- ISO 9001:2015 awareness
