Workshop Supervisor
Reports to: Director of Vocational Rehabilitation Services
Salary: $38,000
Employment Status: Full-time, non-exempt
The Role
Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Custom Production Services, the Workshop Supervisor and Backup Driver will play a crucial role in training and supporting individuals with disabilities who perform production work. This is a full-time position that combines supervisory responsibilities with occasional driving duties. All offers are contingent on a successful background check and clean driving record.Essential Functions
- Trains program participants with disabilities in the performance of work activities.
- Provides overall supervision to participant floor workers.
- Back-up driver making deliveries to customers as needed using agency box truck
- Observes and evaluates participants’ work daily and performs quality control of completed work.
- Develops suitable techniques to help resolve difficulties manifested by participants on the job.
- Consults with the JVS Counselors about participants who are experiencing problems related to the performance of their work and makes periodic reports to the Counselors.
- Submits comments on quarterly participant reports relating to observed work activities and behaviors.
- Assists with maintaining payroll and attendance records on participants as needed.
- Assists in developing and implementing work-related downtime activities.
- Assists with overall building maintenance tasks as requested.
- Performs other duties not calling for materially different skills.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in providing services to people who have disabilities is a plus.
- Microsoft Office experience
- Experience driving a non-cdl box truck is a plus
