Warehouse Associate

Staff Management Group is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our client in Rahway, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 6:30AM - 4PM
• Monday - Friday

Pay Rate:

• $18 - $22 / hour

Job Summary:

A Raw Materials Supplier in Rahway, NJ is seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate to join their small team. This role supports warehouse distribution, inventory management, and materials handling to ensure accurate and timely order and sample fulfillment.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment including sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks
• Load and unload trucks with loose drums and palletized materials
• Lift up to 75 lbs and handle 55-gallon drums
• Repack aromatic raw materials from drum to drum (must tolerate strong odors)
• Strip labels and markings from drums
• Label drums and boxes accurately
• Shrink wrap and break down pallets
• Pull samples from drums and containers
• Perform shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and order fulfillment
• Organize warehouse space for efficient workflow
• Follow all OSHA safety standards and report hazards
• Support light manufacturing tasks (labeling, repackaging, filtering, assembly)
• Inspect equipment and report mechanical issues

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of warehouse and/or manufacturing experience, preferably with raw materials or chemicals (preferred)
• Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator
• Experience with pallet jacks and heavy equipment
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Familiarity with inventory systems (SAP Business One a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working with strong essential oil odors (lavender, jasmine, etc.)
• Reliable transportation required
• Physical stamina for lifting, standing, and walking throughout shift
