Business Office Manager Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Previous Business Office Management experience

• Associates/Bachelor ’s degree in Business or Accounting strongly preferred

• Experience in Long Term Care accounting preferred

• Experience with CMS preferred

• Experience with Point Click Care preferred

• Experience in third party billing and collections: Medicare, Medicaid and private insurances in a long-term care setting

• Experience with Medicaid Pending process

• Knowledgeable of Medicare billing requirements and regulations

• Record cash receipts in the proper account

• Maintain necessary billing and financial information in resident files

• Maintain resident trust accounts and balances monthly

• Work efficiently, and communicate with corporate billers

• Coordinate all collection efforts in collaboration with the nursing home Administrator

• Maintain accurate records of incoming payments with addresses, telephone numbers, etc.; explain bills to residents as necessary and maintain appropriate back-up records

• Maintain system for recording accounts receivables

• Knowledge of reimbursement system, allowable services and documentation required to ensure accurate billing

• Maintain confidentiality of all information

• Maintains effective communication with residents, families, facility staff and business office staff members

• Work with residents to qualify for Medicaid
