Material Handler

Staff Management Group is seeking a Material Handler for our client in Avenel, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8:30AM - 5PM
• Monday - Friday

Pay Rate:

• $16.50 / hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations by loading, unloading, picking, packing, and scanning merchandise. This role is responsible for accurately handling materials, maintaining organized inventory, and ensuring products move efficiently throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining safety and accuracy in all tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Load and unload merchandise from trucks and warehouse staging areas
• Pick products accurately according to order requirements
• Pack items securely to prepare orders for shipment
• Use handheld scanners to scan inventory and track product movement
• Verify product quantities and ensure order accuracy
• Move materials to designated storage or shipping areas
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and operational guidelines
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed.

• Ability to lift and move materials as required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Good organizational and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods
• Ability to follow instructions and meet productivity standards.
