Job Overview:

Lead HVAC takes the lead over HVAC mechanics, provides technical assistants to management, is responsible for HVAC crew's daily work load and oversees all aspects of HVAC equipment and infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of five years appropriate trade experience.
• Completion of acceptable apprentice program at an accredited union program, vocational or technical school
• Must have proper certificates or licenses related to his/her particular skill
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Must have a New Jersey Driver’s License

Scheduling requirement:

• 7AM-3PM Monday to Friday

Essential Functions:

• Lead HVAC mechanics are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems,
• Their duties include diagnosing problems, performing routine maintenance, and making necessary repairs to ensure the systems operate efficiently and safely.
• They may also be involved in energy-efficiency upgrades.
• Installing new HVAC systems and components, including ductwork, piping, and electrical wiring,
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions, repairing or replacing faulty components, and recharging refrigerant levels,
• Inspecting and testing systems and components to ensure proper functioning and efficiency,
• Identifying and diagnosing problems with HVAC systems, determining the root cause of malfunctions, and recommending solutions.
