Associate Attorney - Tort & Insurance Defense

Our client, a prestigious full-service law firm with over 150 years of trusted legal service, is seeking a Tort and Insurance Defense Attorney at the Associate level. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in tort and insurance defense litigation. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity located in the firm's Bergen County, NJ office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in tort and insurance defense litigation matters.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution with significant autonomy.
• Engage in court appearances, depositions, discovery, motion practice, and trials.
• Handle direct client communications and develop strong client relationships.
• Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and legal professionals.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active New Jersey Bar admission is required.
• 5+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on tort and insurance defense.
• Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to assume responsibility and handle a caseload independently.
• Demonstrated professional judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for both client interaction and courtroom advocacy.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $140,000–$160,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
