Part-Time Social Media & Marketing Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a creative, organized, and motivated college student to support social media marketing and local business outreach. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world marketing experience while helping a growing local business expand its B2B and community presence.

Responsibilities

Social Media Management

• Manage and post content on Instagram (Reels, Stories, Feed)
• Create short-form marketing videos (TikTok-style content)
• Develop “short story” style marketing posts highlighting services and promotions
• Capture in-store content and behind-the-scenes visuals
• Maintain consistent brand voice and posting schedule

Email Marketing

• Create and manage campaigns using Constant Contact
• Design monthly newsletters and promotional emails
• Segment email lists for business vs. retail customers
• Track open rates and engagement

Local Business Outreach Support

• Assist with B2B marketing campaigns
• Research local businesses for partnership opportunities
• Help develop promotional flyers and digital ads

Content Creation

• Take photos/videos of print jobs, signage, packaging, etc.
• Create promotional graphics using Canva or similar tools
• Brainstorm seasonal and community-based marketing ideas

Qualifications

• Sophomore student (Marketing, Business, Communications preferred)
• Comfortable using Instagram and TikTok
• Experience with Constant Contact (required)
• Basic graphic design skills (Canva preferred)
• Strong writing skills
• Self-starter with good time management
• Comfortable filming short video content

Schedule

• 8–15 hours per week
• Flexible schedule
• Some in-store content days required

Hourly

$17–$19 per hour
