Concrete Lab Technician

Job Title: Concrete Lab Technician
Location: Lyndhurst, New Jersey
Type: Contract
Compensation: $20 - $22 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 7 AM- 3:45 PM

Responsibilities

• Test the physical properties of fresh and hardened concrete, including sampling and analysis
• Weigh and mix small batches of concrete, ensuring accurate measurements and procedures
• Enter data into Excel templates accurately for analysis and record-keeping
• Prepare and weigh concrete raw materials, including reading scales and filling syringes
• Lift and handle bags of concrete weighing up to 50 lbs; retrieve almost 90 lbs bags and transport on hand trucks
• Perform repetitive concrete testing tasks in a physically demanding environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or TTP (Trade Technical Program) certification
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional handling of nearly 90 lbs bags
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods, bend, and perform manual labor
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude; capable of working independently with minimal supervision
