• Location: Camden, NJ 08104
• Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

BG Staffing is partnering with a residential community in Camden, NJ, to hire a motivated Groundskeeper/Porter who takes pride in maintaining clean, attractive, and safe community grounds and common areas. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a property management team.

This role plays a vital part in creating a positive first impression for residents, guests, and prospective tenants by ensuring the property's appearance and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

As a Groundskeeper/Porter, your primary duties will include:

• Cleaning and maintaining community buildings and common areas
• Cleaning laundry rooms, office buildings, and maintenance shop facilities
• Daily collection and removal of debris throughout assigned areas
• Sweeping and maintaining parking lots, sidewalks, walkways, and dumpster areas
• Monitoring community grounds to ensure cleanliness and curb appeal
• Assisting with general property upkeep and appearance standards
• Reporting safety concerns, damages, or maintenance issues to management
• Supporting the maintenance team with property-wide cleanliness initiatives
• Performing routine inspections of common areas and grounds

Emergency Response Responsibilities

The selected candidate must be willing and able to respond when notified by the Property Manager regarding property emergencies, including but not limited to:

• Fire-related incidents
• Water leaks
• Flooding situations
• Safety concerns affecting residents or staff
• Other emergency circumstances as defined by property management

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous groundskeeping, porter, janitorial, or property maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as necessary
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow safety procedures and management direction
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
