JOB SUMMARY

The Service Technician provides In-Field Service Support with regional and national focus. Builds and maintains excellent business relationships with the company’s client base through the offer of world class technical services.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

1. Provides field technical support to service and support requests (includes nights and weekends) which include the following:
   1. Field Decontamination Projects
   2. Preventive Maintenance and Emergency Servicing of Equipment
   3. Training and Installation of Equipment
2. Provides in-office support of the following:
   1. Customer support via phone and email
   2. Production of Consumables
   3. Maintenance of Decon+ Service Equipment
   4. Performing Contract Decontamination Service
   5. Service Reporting
   6. Field Decontamination Planning
3. Spare Parts Management: identifies the range, type, quantity, price and delivery
4. Ensures tasks are completed on time and to designated service standards.
5. Quality control’s the work performed to ensure client needs and expectations are met.
6. Responds to emergency calls, working with other Field Service Technicians and 3rd party service providers.
7. Schedules preventative maintenance visits according to multiple parties’ calendars (customers and 3rd party providers).
8. Assists in updating service and training documentation while providing on-site customer training sessions.
9. Assists in tracking of materials and coordinates to ensure parts shipping to client sites are available as required to meet service schedules.
10. Works with the General Manager and Service Manager to make strategic decisions on maintaining and improving the business position in the marketplace.
11. Follows all safety rules and quality standards including all company policies and procedures.
12. Performs job assignments in a safe and productive manner while maintaining high quality levels.
13. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Skilled in Microsoft Office and associated applications
2. High level of professionalism accompanied with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
3. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, being able to prioritize multiple priorities at one time.
4. Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written.
5. Excellent and proven technical background. Experience with and understanding of pumps, motors, blowers, and electromechanical systems.
6. Understanding of electromechanical systems, electrical and HVAC, as well as the ability to diagnose PLC controls.
7. Ability to work independently and as a team member.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50lbs.
2. Frequently lift and move up to 50lbs.
3. Occasionally lift and move up to 100lbs.
4. Push/pull weights of 100lbs +
5. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle and feel, use arms to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
6. Must be able to crouch, stoop, or squat to work inside or under equipment, or move through low headroom spaces.
7. Able to occasionally work in tight spaces.
8. Must climb ladders and/or scaffolds and work above floor height.
9. Requires routine pushing, pulling, grasping, and manual dexterity in the use of hands, arms and shoulders.
10. Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions, fumes and airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
11. Distance vision/peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
12. Must be able to sit and drive for long periods of time during travel.
13. Must be able to occasionally walk great lengths at a time and stand for extended periods of time.
14. Must be able to perform work from floor level to above shoulder height if needed.
15. Must be able to operate a computer and other office machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and printer.
16. Travel 50%
17. Must be able to be fit tested and use safety equipment to include full-face respirator or PAPR.
