Qualifications and responsibilities for this Boiler Service Technician position include:- Prior experience servicing older boiler systems such as Cleaver-Brooks, H.B. Smith, Airco, and LockinVar- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain steam and electric boiler systems in schools and public facilities- Must be open to emergency and on-call service work, especially during the heating season- Must be physically comfortable in industrial boiler environments—this is hands-on, dirty work- Ability to drive throughout Northern NJ and occasionally near the NY state line- Welding certification is a plus but not required- Will initially meet at the office daily; a take-home van is provided after 1-2 months- Must be team-oriented and able to take initiative to support co-workers in the fieldSalary: $52.27 per hour, commensurate with experience.
