Functional Consultant

Akkodis is seeking a Functional Consultant for a Contract with a client in Raritan, NJ. This role leads to the delivery of security solutions for the SAP BTP Platform, requiring deep expertise in S/4HANA and BTP Security .

Rate Range: $41/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Functional Consultant job responsibilities include:

• Lead and deliver end‑to‑end security solutions for SAP BTP, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards and project timelines.

• Oversee and implement security design for S/4HANA, BTP, and BW/4HANA, including roles, authorizations, data‑level security, and compliance controls.

• Translate functional requirements into secure technical designs and guide teams on application security best practices and governance.

• Manage user administration through Active Directory/Identity Access Management and support global S/4 Security operations.

• Identify risks through segregation‑of‑duties analysis and ensure resolution by coordinating with technical teams across onsite/offshore environments.

• Develop and implement security policies, support CI/CD‑based BTP developments, troubleshoot issues, and provide leadership across security initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 10+ years of experience in SAP S/4HANA Security and a minimum of 3 years in SAP BTP Security.

• Strong hands‑on expertise in SAP Security design across S/4HANA, BTP, and BW/4HANA, with a solid understanding of data‑level security and compliance standards.

• Proven experience in managing global/regional SAP rollouts, CI/CD‑based BTP developments, and leading complex security initiatives across cross‑functional teams.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $56.00 per hour
