Job Overview:
The Equipment Technician maintains an inventory of supplies necessary for daily operation of the Respiratory Care department and places orders as necessary. Maintains records of all department equipment, therapy and charges.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Successful Completion of Site Personnel General Orientation, Successful Completion of Department Specific Orientation, and Successful completion of all required orientation programs,
- High School Diploma
Scheduling Requirements:
- Day Shift
- Per Diem Scheduling
Essential Functions:
- Assists the Department Secretary with daily tasks, as required.
- Assists the Director and Assistant Director in review of new supply items.
- Completes a weekly inventory of all supply usage by department
- Consistently meets the attendance guidelines according to Community Medical Center Policy
- Consistently meets the tardiness guidelines according to Community Medical Center Policy
- Coordinates quarterly inspection of wall oxygen and vacuum outlets to ensure proper pressure, function and accuracy and maintains documents of the same.
- Coordinates repairs, construction projects and equipment installation
- Ensures that essential equipment and supplies are received as ordered
- Ensures that preventive maintenance checks are current and maintains documentation of the same
- Maintains an accurate inventory of all gas cylinders used in CMC and documentation of same
- Maintains records of department purchases and places purchase orders
Job Overview:
The Mental Health Associate position provides care to the patients and maintains a safe environment under the direct supervision of the registered nurse. All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in a psych related field
- OR 5 years behavioral health experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association
- Successful completion of all orientation programs
- Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full-Time
- Day Shift
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend and Holiday requirements
Essential Functions:
- Understands information pertinent to assigned patients
- Transports patients to ancillary departments and emergency room
- Completes personal hygiene for assigned patients
- Reports patient complaints, problems. And any untoward signs, symptoms, or unusual occurrences immediately to the appropriate Registered Nurse
- Responds appropriately to emergency situations
- Assists with ambulation techniques, assistive devices, and patient positioning
- Assists with nutritional needs of the patients, collects specimens, and takes and records vital signs
- Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team to maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere on the unit and notifies professional nurses of any information regarding patient's physical and emotional condition
- Ability to add additional parameters as needed by review of patient history and physical
- Assists associates in completion of their duties and functions as a cooperative active member of the health care team
- Interacts with the patients on the unit to promote the safety and security of all patients and staff and reports to the professional nurse any condition on the unit that jeopardizes safety and security
- Maintains accurate and thorough documentation as required
- Shows sound and mature judgment in maintaining the safety and security of the patients and staff
- Maintains confidentiality of clinical information
- Maintains the rules and regulations of the unit and notifies the professional nurses of any situations that require immediate attention
- Connects patients to telemetry monitors
- Performs phlebotomy services
- Stocks Supplies
- Performs all other duties as assigned
