Job Description: Sales Manager – Specialty Seeds & Nuts

Location: Warren, New Jersey (office-based with travel as needed)

Our U.S. operations are expanding, and we are seeking a driven Sales Manager to lead growth in the North American market.

Position Overview

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing customer accounts, driving revenue growth, and building long-term relationships with buyers in the food ingredients, snack, and bakery industries. This role requires strong knowledge of B2B sales, food import/distribution, and a proactive approach to market development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share for pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, pine nuts, goji berries, and related products.
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts, while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules with customers.
• Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
• Provide market intelligence (pricing, competitor activity, customer trends) to leadership.
• Represent Sunshine USA Produce at trade shows, industry events, and customer visits.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and CRM reporting.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, certifications, and import/export regulations (USDA Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, Halal, etc.).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of B2B sales experience in food ingredients, agriculture, or commodity trading.
• Strong network within bakery, snack, natural foods, or ingredient supply industries preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel (domestic and occasional international).
• Familiarity with food certifications and regulatory requirements a plus.
