Description:

The Software Programmer will build computer software systems, participating in the design process from beginning to end. They will work with HMI and PLC systems to create interfaces for industrial equipment. The successful candidate should have experience with major software for automation and control technologies such as InTouch Wonderware, Factory Talk View, Inductive Automation Ignition, Maple Systems, WinCC, and may also have software development skills including knowledge of C/C++, VB, .NET, SQL, Python and JAVA.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops computer software systems for various industries including industrial, military, or communications.
• Applies computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the software development process.
• Coordinates with hardware engineers and other staff to forecast whether the design will be feasible under cost and time constraints.
• Performs software systems testing with a focus on procedures and programming.
• Communicates with customers and clients in support of existing software systems.
• Creates flowcharts and other documentation of created software.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of related field experience required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of software systems and programming languages.
• Proficient with software development tools and applications.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
