About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health Acute Care Unit in Belle Mead, NJ. This night-shift position offers the chance to work with complex patient populations in a supportive, team-based environment.
In this role, you will:
- Provide safe, evidence-based, direct patient care for individuals requiring acute behavioral health support.
- Oversee, delegate, and coordinate the work of other caregivers.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Continue building your professional knowledge and leadership skills in psychiatric/behavioral health nursing.
Schedule & Work Details
- Shift: Nights (6:45 p.m. 7:15 a.m.)
- Weekend Work: Every other weekend
- Holiday Work: Four of six major holidays
- On-Call: Not required
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License .
- AHA BLS/CPR Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).
- BSN in progress or willingness to complete within 3 years of hire.
- At least 6+ months of nursing experience OR active participation in a Nurse Residency Program.
Skills Needed
- Strong clinical knowledge in behavioral health/psychiatric care.
- Ability to manage complex cases with compassion and professionalism.
- Strong teamwork, delegation, and leadership skills.
