Shift: 3rd Shift
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Overview:

The Quality Control Lead plays a key leadership role in overseeing quality processes on the 3rd shift at our food manufacturing facility. This position ensures that all QC Technicians follow proper procedures, and that products meet internal and regulatory standards before they are shipped to customers. The QC Lead works closely with production leadership to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with food safety protocols.

Shift Details – 3rd Shift:

• Schedule: Monday through Friday

• One designated area requires a 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support QC Technicians on shift to ensure quality tasks are completed properly

• Oversee inspection of raw materials, components, and finished products for defects or non-conformance

• Review and maintain detailed QC records, logs, and reports

• Ensure finished goods meet all specifications before packaging and shipment

• Enforce packaging and labeling compliance based on company and customer standards

• Conduct batch sampling and testing to verify adherence to quality expectations

• Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions

• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate testing

• Participate in root cause analysis, internal audits, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Train new QC staff and coach team members on quality policies and procedures

• Communicate quality concerns and updates to production management and QA team

• Promote a culture of quality, safety, and accountability across the production floor

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

• 2–4 years of quality control experience in food manufacturing, with 1+ years in a lead or supervisory role

• In-depth knowledge of quality control standards, HACCP, GMPs, and FDA/USDA regulations

• Strong math, technical, and communication skills

• Ability to train and motivate others while enforcing policies consistently

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Able to work independently and collaboratively during overnight shifts
