Shop Employee

Staff Management Group is seeking a Shop Employee for our client in Lebanon, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• First 30 Days: 1st Shift - 6AM to 2PM
• Then, 2nd Shift: 2PM - 10PM
• Monday - Friday

Pay Rate:

• $18.50 / hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable Shop Employee to support daily production and shop operations. This role involves operating machinery and forklifts, preparing equipment for production runs, and ensuring product quality through inspection and monitoring processes. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and assist with material handling within the shop
• Set up and prepare machinery for production runs
• Monitor production processes and inspect products to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including routine cleanup duties
• Assist with operating cranes and hoists as needed
• Use measuring tools and perform basic math calculations for accuracy
• Follow all safety procedures and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Support additional shop duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Prior experience operating forklifts, cranes, or hoists preferred
• Strong commitment to safety in a manufacturing or shop environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring instruments
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, pull, and grip for extended periods.
