An international Swiss bank is looking to hire for its office in the Bahamas a Head of Wealth Management to lead the Private Banking division in The Bahamas.

This senior leadership role is responsible for achieving the quantitative and qualitative objectives of the Nassau wealth management business and for leading a team of relationship managers and assistants. The ideal applicant combines deep technical expertise in private banking with a proven track record in business development.

Key responsibilities will be developing and implementing business plans to grow the wealth management division through private banking services and the trading platform. Defining and executing regional growth strategies to expand our client's presence locally and in the Caribbean. Providing highly specialised and bespoke private banking advice and build trusted relationships with clients. Identifying acquiring and actively managing relationships with clients and financial intermediaries. Managing and developing a team of relationship managers and assistants by fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring high technical and compliance standards are met. Managing the budget and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the wealth management division. Also overseeing the daily operations of the Private Banking division.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in private banking, strong knowledge of private banking products, services, and investment solutions, proven experience in sales, business development, and the management of private banking client relationships, and strong leadership and people management skills. Candidates who live (have lived) and worked in the Bahamas and who know the regulatory system of the Island will be favoured for this mission.

A Bachelors Degree in finance, economics, or banking along with professional qualifications such as CIWM, CFA or AKAD (or equivalent) are considered a distinct advantage. At least 10+ years of relevant experience in private banking and/or wealth management industries.
