Job Description

Full-time Field Service Technician, responsible for the repair, maintenance, support, and accuracy verification of strength of materials test equipment. UTM. Daily electrical and mechanical repair and upgrading equipment in the field and in the factory.

• Two Year Technical Degree or experience preferred
• Drivers license required
• Customer support via phone, in person, and electronically with remote connect software.
• Track Customer issues and resolutions, Previous experience with customer service is a plus.
• Strong Troubleshooting and critical thinking Skills
• Positive and Professional Demeanor.
• Basic electrical understanding of diodes, resistors capacitors inductors, motor controllers, and microprocessors.
• Basic operational skills to operate and use a multimeter for measuring Ohms, current, voltage inductance, and capacitance.
• Basic Mechanical understanding of and troubleshooting capabilities for gears, shafts bearing belts, and pulleys.
• Familiarity with UTM's or Strength of Material Equipment Including Instron, MTS, Zwick, Tinius Olsen, Thwing Albert, and others helpful.
• Understanding the principles of load cells and calibration procedures is a plus.
• Understanding basic metrology procedures is a plus
• Travel domestically and some internationally will be required on a normal basis, all travel and living expenses are paid for including meals, airfare, car rental, hotel stays, and all meals. Employees can bank frequent traveler points and miles for personal use and personal travel
