Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative anywhere in New Jersey. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional with call center experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage inbound and outbound calls in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Answer incoming calls from consumers, prospective enrollees, the general public, and authorized representatives while following established policies, procedures, and performance standards.

- Respond professionally to inbound and outbound contacts, providing accurate information and effective customer support.

- Track, document, and update inquiries using applicable systems with strong attention to detail.

- Process new health care coverage applications by phone, along with life event changes, demographic updates, disenrollment requests, and special enrollment period requests.

- Fulfill caller requests for materials by mail, email, or download, and coordinate translation services for non-English speaking callers as needed.

- Escalate calls, issues, or complex inquiries to the appropriate staff for timely resolution.

Compensation

- Pay rate: $18/hr for monolinguals and $19/hr for bilinguals.

- Job type: Contract/Temporary.

- Location: Remote, New Jersey.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Handle high-volume inbound and outbound customer contacts in a call center environment.

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

- Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience required.

- Strong data entry skills and telephone communication skills.

- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

- Previous experience using computers, phone systems, and headsets preferred for success in the role.

- Previous customer service or call center experience preferred.

- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
