Laboratory Technician

Description

Clean Harbors located in Newark CA is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for sample preparation the analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties. This is a traditional white lab coat position that offers no travel.

Pay: $30-31

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health and Safety and Compliance protocols;
• Performs analysis of samples following prescribed procedures with the ability to solve minor problems;
• Calibrates and utilizes instrumentation;
• Maintenance of equipment suggests solutions to problems;
• Completes all paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion;
• Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines;
• Responsibility for supply management in their area of responsibility including proper housekeeping and best management practices;
• Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.

Key Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required 1 year of specialized training required;
• Bachelors degree in chemistry or physical science is preferred;
• Solid understanding of math chemistry and chemical testing preferred;
• Experience in a laboratory preferred;
• Ability to work in a team environment.
