Growing And Learning Academy LLC in Kearny, NJ, is looking for one childcare director/head teacher to join our six-person team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.

We are currently seeking an experienced Director to join our team. Responsibilities: The Daycare Lead Teacher assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the educational development, safety, and welfare of the children and staff

.• Supervision of staff members

Implementing a staffing schedule

•Works to ensure compliance with state regulations

•Maintaining the facility for "Tour Ready" standards

•Conducting tours of the center

•Maintaining accurate records of both staff and children

.•Designate teachers and primary caregivers as required by State regulations

•4-6 hours in the classroom or on a needed basis

•Assist in planning and running internal and external events

•Accept/process payments (ACH and credit card)

•Updating and Maintaining Health records

•Maintaining social media, eg, Facebook, Instagram, classdojo•

Help the owners with the marketing of the center

QUALIFICATIONS

The HEAD Teacher must comply with minimum standards, as set forth by current company policies and government and state regulations

.• Possess a Bachelor's Degree (in a child-related field is a plus) or equivalent Child Care or Management experience. You will need to show the WES transcript if you have a bachelor's degree in education from a different country.

.•CDA is a plus.•2-3 years' of work experience in a childcare program.•Demonstrate excellent organizational and leadership skills.•Understanding of general business procedures.•Ability to communicate company policies and procedures in a firm and clear manner to staff and parents.•Strong customer service and communication skills.•Possess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with children, parents, coworkers, clients and management.•Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by the State and company regulations and procedures.•Ability to post social media posts•Be proficient in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel•Work well under pressure
