The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Overview:
- The RWJBH IT Site Executive is responsible for overseeing the delivery and execution of IT services and technologies within an assigned facility, medical group, or service line.
- This individual acts as the IT service delivery and communication focal point for the facility for project updates and status, scheduled and unscheduled downtimes, IT initiatives and other critical events.
- Additionally, they will manage the relationship, and provide guidance, to the site and service line leadership.
- The IT Site Executive works closely with site or service line leadership to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
- This position requires advanced time management skills in directing multiple concurrent projects as well as flexibility dealing with customers and vendors at a variety of levels.
- Furthermore, effective professional communication is also required with internal IT staff; vertical and horizontal management; medical and dental staff leadership; external vendors; auditors; industry associations; and other organizations.
- The IT Site Executive is responsible for working within the IT Strategic, Governance, and Policy structure of RWJBH to support their respective sites or service lines.
- This includes, but is not limited to, all standards, policies, procedures and other guidelines established by Enterprise IT functions from IT security, project management, change management, and asset management, for example.
Education:
- Preferred: Master's degree in Health Care, Information Technology, Business, or related field
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
Work Experience:
- Preferred: Ten plus 10 years IT leadership or project management experience implementing information systems and/or large-scale and complex enterprise-wide initiatives
- Minimum: Five 5 years experience with IT leadership in managing large-scale enterprise-wide initiatives within a complex IT organization in a multi-facility healthcare delivery network
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, facilitation/training skills, project management capabilities, and leadership orientation
- Strong assertiveness skills and ability to manage conflict in a variety of situations
- Superior organizational and people management skills
- Demonstrated ability to align and motivate key process stakeholders, including nurses, physicians, and other clinical/administrative staff
- Demonstrated ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams
