Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Newark, NY 14513 (Finger Lakes region)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2080
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (MS 2 West)
• Orientation: 18 hours provided
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Floating: May be required to float to other units

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• First-time travel nurses welcome

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage dysrhythmias
• Utilize rapid response protocols and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
• Perform peripheral line care, oxygen therapy (nasal cannula, face masks, portable tanks), and non-invasive airway management
• Implement isolation precautions and maintain infection control standards
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other hospital units as needed
