Position Overview

The Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients for electrical contracting services. This role focuses on identifying project opportunities, preparing estimates, and coordinating with the operations team to ensure customer needs are met from initial contact through project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, property managers, developers, and homeowners.
• Meet with prospective clients to assess project needs and provide solutions for electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with project managers and electricians to ensure accurate project scope and scheduling.
• Follow up on leads, bids, and proposals to close sales and secure contracts.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and sales activities.
• Stay informed on industry trends, electrical systems, and new technologies.
• Represent the company professionally at networking events, site visits, and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, preferably in construction, electrical, or related trades.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems or construction processes is a plus.
• Ability to read plans or work with estimates is preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites or client meetings as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with estimating or bidding projects.
• Knowledge of commercial and residential electrical work.
