Compensation Range: $24/hr – $27/hr

Job Description:
The client is seeking a Junior Infrastructure Data Center Engineer to support the global infrastructure team by assisting with documentation, asset tracking, infrastructure diagramming, and operational coordination within the data center environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Document infrastructure environments, systems, and operational processes

• Maintain infrastructure documentation and system records

• Track hardware assets and maintain inventory spreadsheets in Excel

• Create infrastructure diagrams such as data center layouts, network schematics, and architecture diagrams

• Support procurement tasks including purchase requests, purchase orders, and vendor coordination

• Maintain documentation of hardware deployments and infrastructure changes

• Assist with equipment installation, cabling organization, and data center cleanup when needed

• Collaborate with global infrastructure teams across multiple regions

• Support operational tasks for infrastructure and data center initiatives

Requirements:

• Must-Haves:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for tracking assets, organizing data, and maintaining spreadsheets

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with global teams

  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure concepts (servers, networking, or data centers)

  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

• Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience creating technical diagrams using Microsoft Visio or draw.io

  • Internship, help desk, or entry-level IT experience

  • Exposure to data center environments, networking equipment, or infrastructure operations

  • Basic familiarity with Windows, Linux, or Cisco technologies

  • Background in IT, computer science, or related technical field
