Job Title: Mix Operator
Location: Lakewood, New Jersey
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $23 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 5 am till 1:30 pm
2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 1 pm till 9:30 pm (will train on 1st shift for 1-2 weeks)



Mix Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate manufacturing and/or packaging line(s) to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, supporting company policies, goals, and objectives.
• Clean mixing vessels as needed.
• Tend manual or semi-automatic systems processing chemical substances into industrial or consumer products, such as sealants, adhesives, primers, and intermediates.
• Load specified amounts of solid and liquid materials into heating/cooling vessels or blending tanks.
• Set controls and operate valves to feed materials through equipment units or initiate automatic feed sequences.
• Monitor chemical reactions, gauges, signals, and recorders; receive notifications for operating adjustments.
• Draw samples of products for quality control analysis.
• Package, palletize, shrink-wrap, and stage Sika products using a forklift for transportation to warehouses or trucks.
• Perform minor maintenance of equipment, workstations, and manufacturing areas.
• Ensure conformance with all safety rules to maintain plant safety.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.

• Must be able to lift up to 74 lbs repeatedly throughout the work shift.
• Prior experience in a Mix Operator role.
• Obtain a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents in English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Pass a proficiency test testing reading comprehension and math ability.
• Plant experience with batching/packaging is a plus.
• High School graduate; trade school certification in electronics or related field is a plus.
