Registered Nurse (RN) - School Case | Per Diem | West Milford, NJ

Affirmed Home Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care for a school case in West Milford, New Jersey . As an RN on this case, you’ll deliver one-on-one care in a school setting , ensuring the safety and well-being of your client throughout the school day. This is an ideal role for nurses looking to work daytime hours only (8:30 AM – 2:00 PM) on a flexible per diem basis.

Job Type:
Per Diem (Weekday Hours)

Pay:
$45 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to a pediatric client in a school setting

• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects

• Track and document vital signs, behaviors, and interventions

• Support activities of daily living and respond to emergency needs

• Communicate clearly with school staff, family members, and the care team

• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey (Required)

• CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred)

• Previous experience with pediatric care , is strongly preferred

• Ability to work independently and follow detailed care plans

• Comfortable working in pet-friendly environments if applicable

• Must have reliable transportation

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with G-tubes, ostomy care, and other complex medical needs

• Proficiency with basic technology (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook, mobile apps)

• Experience in home care or school nursing is a plus
