Dining Room Manager – Hillsdale, NJ (New Restaurant Opening)

We are seeking a dynamic and service-focused Dining Room Manager to join our leadership team for an exciting new restaurant opening in Hillsdale, NJ. The ideal candidate will bring strong hospitality skills, a passion for guest service, and the ability to build and lead a high-performing front-of-house team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all dining room operations, ensuring a welcoming and seamless guest experience.

• Recruit, hire, train, and develop front-of-house staff prior to opening and beyond.

• Implement and uphold service standards, guest engagement practices, and company policies.

• Create and manage staff schedules to balance labor costs and operational needs.

• Collaborate with the General Manager and culinary team to ensure smooth coordination between front and back of house.

• Monitor guest feedback and resolve concerns quickly and professionally.

• Support the rollout of opening procedures, staff training, and operational systems for a successful launch.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Drive a positive team culture focused on hospitality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to train, motivate, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Passion for delivering exceptional hospitality and building guest loyalty.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Experience with restaurant openings is a plus.
