Mechanical Assembler
In this role, you will be responsible for building mechanical assemblies from both detailed production drawings and prototype sketches. You will prepare as-built drawings, packing lists, and quality control documentation. Quality control will be performed on third-party and in-house components, as well as on completed assemblies. Additionally, you will test electrical and mechanical assemblies, and collect and interpret test data. You will assist in updates to quality assurance programs and documentation, while adhering to manufacturing best practices for marine environments and robotic systems.
Responsibilities- Build mechanical assemblies from detailed and prototype drawings.
- Prepare as-built drawings, packing lists, and quality control documentation.
- Perform quality control on third-party and in-house components and assemblies.
- Test electrical and mechanical assemblies.
- Collect and interpret test data.
- Assist in updates to quality assurance programs and documentation.
- Follow manufacturing best practices for marine environments and robotic systems.
- Design, set up, and maintain workstations, tools, and manufacturing jigs.
- Maintain, clean, and organize the shop and inventory.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with mechanical assemblies.
- At least 6 months of experience with mechanical assemblies.
- 1-3 years of experience with small hand and power tools.
- Ability to work from work orders and blueprints.
- Experience with hand tools and mechanical assembly.
- Familiarity with production and blueprint reading.
- General labor experience.

Work EnvironmentWork in a very clean, temperature-controlled facility on a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Monroe, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
