Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is adding a Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy.
The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

- Performing history and physical examinations.
- Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments.
- Developing treatment plans, prescribing drugs, and other therapies, as needed.
- Making referrals, as necessary.
- Consulting with supervising medical provider, when appropriate.
- Counseling patients and families regarding care.
- Reviewing and responding to referrals from within and outside the clinic.
- Precept and evaluate physician assistant students rotating through the Emergency Department.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program.
- Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
- Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $134,405* - $178,114*based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $147,845** - $195,926**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
- Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
- Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
- Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
- Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
- Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
