Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT) is a leading environmental contractor located in Wharton, NJ. We offer design/build services for temporary and permanent treatment systems, and operation and maintenance services for a variety of soil, groundwater, and wastewater treatment systems. GWTT provides construction, dewatering, remediation, and environmental construction services. GWTT is looking to fill an Accountant position in Wharton, New Jersey. The role will report directly to the Corporate Controller. Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000

Responsibilities:

• Various reporting, analysis and reconciliations
• General ledger review, trend analysis
• Investigate and troubleshoot outliers in general ledger and job cost records
• Participate in various daily, weekly and monthly tasks contributing to the month-end close
• Construction progress billing
• Work in progress percent complete revenue recognition
• Working with project management team, supporting job cost and cash position reporting, change order processing, month-end accruals
• Develop and implement technology that provides real-time financial reporting tools (dashboards, BI) that provide project management team with direct access to project financial data
• Create ad hoc reports and infographics as needed
• Accounts payable processing
• Accounts receivable processing
• Work with outside auditors to provide information and analysis required to perform annual audits

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in public accounting or private industry
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, consolidations, ASC Topic 606, ASC Topic 842, percentage of completion accounting and financial reporting
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to meet firm deadlines
• Detail oriented and commitment to, and understanding of, the importance of reporting accurate figures
• Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks concurrently
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Experience and Proficiency navigating complex ERP and BI systems

Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
