Outside Sales Representative
OVERVIEW
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing innovative strategies to achieve sales goals and develop meaningful connections with our customers, while selling Mazza Recycling products and services throughout an assigned territory in Middlesex, Mercer, Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties. The Outside Sales Representative reports directly to the Director of Sales - Construction & Aggregates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive Company revenue by developing and managing relationships with customers to understand and fulfill waste and recycling needs
- Identify new customers that could benefit the Company, while leveraging current customer relationships to drive new business
- Manage sales territory by setting a territory plan to effectively achieve revenue targets
- Conduct sales in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers
- Educate customers on how Company products and services can benefit their business
- Keep customer data related to lead and prospect activity updated within Company CRM
- Monitor market conditions with competitor activity
- Negotiate customer pricing and terms and prepare proposals and sales agreements
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to build and maintain relationships
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the US
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration preferred, but not required
- Valid driver license – must be comfortable driving throughout the day
- Minimum 1 year of outside sales experience
- Customer service experience
- Strong technical and computer skills including Salesforce, AMCS, and Microsoft Office
- Ambitious self-starter with the ability to work comfortably and professionally in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs
