We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Madison, NJ. Job Details Salary: $20 to $35 an hour Paying: 2.5 times rate on all Honda Warranty work Job Type: Full Time Location: Madison, NJ 07940 Position Overview As an Automotive Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that customers receive timely, quality vehicle service. You will use advanced diagnostic tools to address customer concerns and maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer care. Primary Responsibilities Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose customer vehicle concerns using current administrative and technical tools. Provide courteous and professional customer interactions at all times. Greet customers in the service drive area when needed, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Stay updated with technical publications, Service Comm announcements, and Asist terminal operations. Deliver safe and reliable vehicle service on the first attempt. Address original customer concerns before recommending additional services. Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify maintenance needs based on local and factory recommendations. Return vehicles to customers clean or cleaner than at arrival. Participate in factory or in-house training programs to maintain technical expertise. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and attach required forms to repair orders. Perform additional duties as assigned by Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, or Group Leader. Maintain punctuality, readiness to work, and professional appearance including a clean uniform. Compensation and Benefits We offer competitive hourly pay ranging from $18 to $30 based on experience and performance. Job Requirement:Required Qualifications Experience with warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models. Strong track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Professional appearance and a strong work ethic. Positive attitude and high energy level. Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions. Good judgment and problem-solving skills. Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record. Education and Certification High school diploma or equivalent. ASE certification or demonstrated technical aptitude. Technical or trade school degree preferred but not required.
